You’re born with a ton of fucks to give, so you spend them like a kid with a credit card. You give fucks about your friends, about your grades, about your fashion sense, about strangers’ opinions. You give way too many fucks about way too many things. You have so many. Then, as you get older, you have maybe 10 fucks per month, so you learn to budget them. You allocate fucks to family and career, but there aren’t enough fucks to give to the newest fads. Oh, someone at work has something they need my help with that’s outside my job title? I’ll do my best to allocate some fucks, but this month is pretty tight. Then, as you get even older, you’re down to 1-2 fucks per month, and those fucks are pretty damn precious. You give them to your family and your hobbies and your job, and that’s kinda it. It’s not your fault – fucks expire too quickly. I would’ve liked to save my fucks from when I was younger but I can’t. Then, you hit fuck insolvency. You’re getting like 1 fuck a year, and you have to make it last. So you go without, and even previously fuck-worthy things, you just can’t give a fuck. Some people run out really quickly, Some people have a fuck trust fund that pays out a decent amount even into old age. But at some point, the fuck faucet runs completely dry and you’re out of fucks to give. It’s just basic Fuckonomics.

Artist’s statement:

“The project started by chance back in 2008. I was visiting the local zoo, which I hadn’t been to in ages, and started taking pictures of the captive animals, just like everyone else was doing. My attention kept being drawn to their eyes, which, to me, seemed very sad, and I ended focusing my camera on them. I was intrigued by whether my impressions would be apparent to other people in the images. I wondered if that popular old saying, referring to humans, that goes the eyes are the windows to the soul could hold true for animals as well.”

I’ve made it to finish line in one piece and on my own legs… but

- who the hell thought that 1298 hills on the course is a good idea for 13.1 miles run?

- it really proved itself to be a stupid idea as it felt before the start

- the heavy rain was neat… my iPod is very happy now

- checking my watch after 45min of dying running and thinking, f*ck, another 80min?

- running through very old (yet working) chemical plant was interesting but what the hell was that smell?

- spent my ride on a train back home squeezed between bikes in cargo compartment since there were no seats

- I’m too old for this shit. Somebody get me new legs

Thanks for Nothing? (Season 5 of Rizzoli & Isles)

Given that most of Season 5 is in the can and my interest to watch the remaining episodes is more or less gone, it’s time for a summary of Rizzoli & Isles under Jan Nash.
Warning: This post is pretty long because it looks at all aspects of the show.

For those who prefer the short version:
While we have seen glimpses of what Season 5 (and the show as a whole) could have been, there was nothing special about the first twelve episodes delivered by Nash & Co. Whenever there was a chance to leave a memorable impression, the writers chickened out and left everything to the viewers’ imagination.
Granted, some of the problems in Season 5 were inherited from Janet Tamaro, but all of them could have been solved – with just a little more passion and attention to detail.

Filed under this all of this and foremost the very painful truth: JNash's biggest 'accomplishment' is a total misunderstanding of Jane and Maura's dynamics and consequently its absolute non-existence in Season 5 I hoped JNash would help but same as fenway03 I couldn't be more wrong Rizzoli and Isles Season 5

Memories of Pinochet’s Chile

On September 11, 1973, Gen. Augusto Pinochet seized power in a U.S.-backed coup that deposed the democratically elected president, Salvador Allende, who committed suicide rather than surrender and led to 17 years of military rule.

Some 40,000 people suffered human rights abuses in Chile from 1973 to 1990. More than 3,000 were killed or forcibly disappeared, their bodies buried in unmarked graves or dumped at sea.
